Max’s Weddings: Budget wedding

In the Philippines weddings are getting more and more expensive. But good thing there are still budget friendly options.

I have been  scouring the net for budget options for a manila wedding good for only around 200k… With that in mind I went to different restaurants offering wedding reception packages.

Downloaded Max’s wedding package on the net and saw that this can save a lot because it includes the place and the food plus free two layered cake, event coordinator and emcee!!! Savings! chaching!

For Small weddings:

50pax- Php32,265 to 49,975.00

Medium Size Weddings

100 Pax- Php56,369 to Php87,919.00

150 Pax- Php80,469 to 127,045.00
they also are offering different themes- you can go directly to them for the latest ones!
Happy Preps!

Seeing yourself in an AD for Joel Faller on FB

Surprised as I was to see pics of our wedding used in Joel Faller’s Ad for Tagaytay Wedding and Travel expo… Nakaka taba ng puso that even with the simple flower set up (and very limited budget!!!)- Joel Faller’s Knack of putting together the decor is AMAZING…

Posting the ad now!

event is ON March 12-13 2016

10am to 8pm at the Development Academy of the Philippines (DAP).

dap

JOEL FALLER has a promo on that expo- you can win a complete entourage and ceremony flower arrangement package from Tagaytay’s top florist, Joel Faller signature florist.

Amazing right?

(No I am NOT paid by my supplier hehehe but I just love them to bits so even if this happened a year ago… i totally support him and his team!)

Measurement Guide for Men and Women Entourage

Sachi Nicole Edralin-Measurement

Some of our entourage opted to have their gowns made by the mananahi we got in divisoria for the the entourage. And since some of our entourage are from provinces, I sent them this measuring guide so that all they need to do if fill it out and send it back in.

I then have the gown sent through mail (LBC) to them and they so they can fit the gown, make “pinned adjustments” and then back again to the mananahi (dressmaker) so they can remedy the adjustments.

Then a day before the wedding they do a final fit.

I did not have trouble with this method, saved lots of time on my end 🙂

For men, I got this over the internet but could not find the source. Please please notify me where I got this if you find out who posted this so i can properly credit this to them. Thank you

MEN’S GUIDE

NAME:

EVENT/WEDDING OF:

ROLE:

DATE:

HEIGHT (in feet):

______ Shoulder  Measure from tip of the left shoulder to right shoulder passing thru the nape.

______ Bust 1 Measure around chest & under armpit.

______ Bust2 Measure around the widest part of the back, straight across the fullest part of the bust, not under the bust line.

______ Waist Measure around your natural waistline. Make sure you’re not holding your stomach in while you take this measurement.

______ Hips  Measure around the fullest part of the hip. Put your thumbs at your natural waist and rest your hands on your hips. The tip of your fingers should be the area to measure for your hips.

______ Floor Length Measure from the waist to the floor do not wear any shoes. Then advise us the heel height of your shoes to be worn during the wedding day.

______ Knee Length Measure from waist to the floor.

______ Ankle Length Measure from waist to ankle.

______ Figure Front Measure from tip of shoulder down past your breast to waistline.

______ Figure Back Measure from tip of shoulder to waist.

______ Bustpoint V Measures from shoulder to nipple.

______ Bustpoint H Measures from nipple to nipple.

______ Empire Wrap the tape from under the breast around your back.

______ Arm Length Measure from tip of shoulder to wrist.

______ Armhole Measure around your armhole from the tip of your shoulder.

______

Neck

 (What to Wear: Shirt)

Measure around your neck at the level your shirt collar would sit. You should not feel restricted by the tape for a comfortable fit, and should be able to put your index finger inside the tape.

_______

Chest

 (What to Wear: Shirt)

Measure horizontally around the chest roughly at nipple level, under the armpits, and over your shoulder blades. You should only just be able to feel the tape on your chest. Do not over-inflate your chest but stand normally; you should be able to fit your index finger in between the tape and your chest. This measurement is a body measurement and there will be an allowance added to it to make your jacket, the allowance will be added according to the fit that you chose.

_______

Jacket Waist

(What to Wear: Shirt)

Measure horizontally around your stomach at the level of the bottom of the ribcage. As a guide this measurement should be where you are widest. Allow some room for breathing/movement.

_______

Waistcoat

(What to Wear: Shirt)

Measure from the bottom of your shirt collar to below your belt line. Even if you don’t wish to have a waistcoat – please give the measurement a go.  It helps us to make your jacket pattern too.

_______

Shoulder Width

(What to Wear: Jacket)

Measure from the end of your left shoulder to the end of your right shoulder. This measurement should be equal to the desired width of the jacket’s shoulders.

_______

Jacket Length

(What to Wear: Jacket)

Measure vertically down your front from just next to the collar on your jacket, where the seam is on your shoulder, to where you would like the jacket to end. If you are unsure of the perfect length it is generally accepted to be where your knuckles are with your arms naturally hanging down. A shorter, more trendy length, looks good when coupled with jeans, but is an acquired taste in a suit. You can also use a jacket you like as a guide.

_______

Left Sleeve

(What to Wear: Jacket)

Measure from where the seams on the shoulder meet to where you want the sleeve to end. The measurement you input will be the measurement of your jacket sleeve. We recommend that the sleeve should go to the base of your thumb (located at the wrist joint).

_______

Right Sleeve

(What to Wear: Jacket)

Measure from where the seams on the shoulder meet to where you want the sleeve to end. The measurement you input will be the measurement of your jacket sleeve. We recommend that the sleeve should go to the base of your thumb (located at the wrist joint).

_______

Trouser Waist

(What to Wear: Shirt/Trousers)

Measure horizontally around your waist, just inside where you like to wear the top of your trousers. Make sure the tape is snug and does not ride over the waistband but you should be able to put your index finger inside the tape. As a guide, this measurement will be about 2 inches above what you take off-the peg.

_______

Seat

(What to Wear: Trousers)

Measure around your hips and buttocks at their widest point on a pair of well-fitting trousers (not jeans). Make sure your pockets are empty and the tape is not restrictive. As a guide, you should not make the tape too snug. You only just be able to feel the tape when measuring.

_______

Crotch

(What to Wear: Trousers)

Measure from the top of the trouser waistband at the front, between your legs, to top of the waistband at the back. Allow as much space as needed for comfort.

_______

Thigh

(What to Wear: Trousers)

Empty your pockets, then measure around the thigh of your trousers (no jeans) at the widest point (usually as high as you can go without it getting embarrassing), you should be able to fit your index finger in behind the tape measure. This is a skin measurement and should be taken just below the crotch.

_______

Knee

(What to Wear: Trousers)

Keep your leg straight and measure comfortably around your knee at the widest point. This is a skin measurement.

_______

Inside Leg

(What to Wear: Trousers/Shoes)

Measure from the lowest part of the crotch of your trousers (not jeans), keeping the measure taut, down to where you wish the bottom of the trousers to end. Please bear in mind the fit you want over the shoe as this will affect the height of the trouser crotch. Please also stand up straight, do not be tempted to look down as this will affect the measurement, use a mirror to look instead.

_______

Outside Leg

(What to Wear: Trousers/Shoes)

Measure from the top of the waistband on a pair of trousers (not jeans), keeping the measure taut, down to where you wish the bottom of the trousers to end. Please bear in mind the fit you want over the shoe as this will affect the length of the trousers. Please also stand up straight, do not be tempted to look down as this will affect the measurement, use a mirror to look instead.

Costing for the Cocktails

Here are some extra costs that we had prior to the ceremony and the reception.

BEFORE THE CEREMONY

  • Bottled Water- Php6.50/bottle x 200pcs (good for 230guests) = Php1,300.00

travel time: 1hr plane ride +20min can ride + 10min waiting time + 1hr30min boat ride to and fro the resort

Resort condition: 4/5 you know that it has seen better years. There are areas renovated but the walkways are made if cracked cement and the landscape almost felt unkept (bouganvillas grew without direction and dried leaves are everywhere) but there are areas that look kept like the spa area (great massage!!!)

Restaurant: its so dark, they should add more light and maybe make the area white so it would not feel so constricting, they should notice that the guests are preferring to stay on tables at the sides because it is really dark inside

The buffet line: good selection. Love the pancakes, but i noticed that they have few selections for asian and foreign guests (by the way bulk of their clientele are foreigners) – so i think they need to tweak the menu a bit

Customer service: excellent 5/5 – from the time we arrived and time we had to leave hands down very accomodating and sincere. They come with a smile and quick to respond.

Cleanliness: 3/5 the cabanas are not immediately cleaned after some guests use it. We had to clear it ourselves

Activities : swimming , snorkeling, kayaking, bumming , etc

Rooms: 4/5 we got 2nd floor unit A6 (yey!) maybe coz we booked early. Plus it is nearer the facilities so that was a major plus! It was dark, no tv and the aircon was a bit noisy. It was only then that i realized birds were residing in the aircon so yeah… We are the intruders not them hahaha

Private dinner: addtl ph1500 setup and php1.5k for the foor we ordered 🙂

Over all rating 4.5/5

Will recommend but it is not as upscale as others with its price range
